What's the difference between your ordinary optical mouse and this Razor DeathAdder? Alot!

I quickly pulled out the old Logitech MX500 which has an 800dpi, and swapped this baby in and wow, what an improvement. After bumping up the dpi setting to the highest setting (1800) and kicking up the polling rate to the highest level of 1000Hz, the response on the screen was fantastic. With less movement I could quickly navigate to all areas on the screen. Just think, and it's there. BAM!!

You won't be seeing red with this mouse, litterally. Flip it over and the typical red optical laser is not present, infact you won't even see a light (not with your naked eye). What this uses instead is the unique 3G Infrared Sensor. Truly flying stealth with this one.

I had to fire up a game to truly give it a whirl. Can a gaming mouse really make that much of a difference? I choose to fire up Battlefield 2 and do some target practice. Certainly picking off long range targets were a bit less fiddly and I found it more precise in tracking as well. Basically less skipping.

The driver included allows you to set different gaming profiles (5 definable profile settings). These profiles can be switched via the task bar control panel, or if you can click a button on the underside to swap these out.

If you're looking for something to improve your game, upgrading to the DeathAdder certainly is something you may want to consider.
