Edifier S730  Hot

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this little baby just recently.
I was surprised by the sheer size  of the box (a mere 32.3 kg\'s) . Maybe size does matter. I thought I was getting a new  Bike rather than a speaker system.
Peeling back the box like Indiana Jones looking for treasure.I caught a glimpse of the Edifier s730. With baited breathe I opened the box and unwrapped it like a kid getting his first present from Santa.

I dismantled my existing sound system and connected the unit to my PC.
Instantly I noticed 2 things.

1. I was going to need a bigger room.
2. I might wake my roommates if I put the volume above level 35. ( it goes to 50.

The look and feel af the Edifier S730 is very nice. The sleek wooden black and silver colour subwoofer was very pleasing to the eye . The 2 black 75 watt satellite speakers nestled nicely next to my 30" LCD monitor.
I was ready to Game.
I slapped on on the classic Call of Duty 4 and cranked up the volume.
I got jolted out of my seat when the first intense gun battle broke out.
The crisp clear sounds resonated around the room and the deep base sounds of battle were captured wonderfully throughout by the subwoofer.
I grabbed the remote control from my desk and cranked this baby to the Max.
You just have to find out the limits of your system.
Luckily the room mates were away for the day and the dog does not get a vote.
With dual inputs I could also connect my xbox 360 to the Edifier s730.
With the flick of a button i could switch to my xbox and and play Ninja Gaiden and enjoy the fat sound of this awesome system.
This is as good as it gets for a 2.1 system.

It\'s a shame that it\'s not 5.1. After using 5.1 for so long, going back to 2.1 is difficult, even for a set of speaker like this. Having said that, it still looks like it covers all the necessary bases sufficiently, and then some.
