The first Ipod launched on October 23, 2001 and instantly set the benchmark
for all mp3 players with it's sleek look and unique functionality. The range has now extended to iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Classic, iPod Touch each has built on the previous model's teknology. The iphone has also tail blazed what we should expect from a mobile phones. Now we a plethora of devices that service these products. Yamaha has launced the Pdx-50 music box. I can hear you saying not another speaker system, to be honest this one sets it's itself apart from other sound systems. This device is the first wireless dock to reach our shores. Yamaha has designed its own wireless standard (Air Wired)that reduces latency and increases throughput. Setup is simply just plug in the 1.7kg speaker and dock your Ipod\Iphone into the wireless cradle and you are ready to ROCK. Now you can stream your favourite tracks wirelessly to the sound system using your handset as the remote. The range of the wireless is 66ft without any inteference. This device is only compatible with Ipod(5th gen) Ipod classic, nano, touch and the iphone. Unfortinaley if you don't own a Ipod this is divice is not for you as Yamaha has squarely gone for the Apple market. It would have been nice if they could have a universal jack which would allow non Apple devices to dock and play. Maybe next time RRP $499 Ash www.TekTime.com.au User reviews There are no user reviews for this item. To write a review please register or login. |
