The Guitar hero franchise has been around since 2005 and most players have been rocking out on the manufacturer’s standard controllerssince then. These devices have gone through a couple of incarnations over time, from the dastardly wired controllers to the standard toy like wireless controllerswe have today. These controllers were always light and you knew when you pickedthem up it was not a real guitar.
Out of the smoke machine’s haze Logitech has upped the antewith the new black edition wireless controllers. The Logitech Wireless GuitarController looks unique as it could almost be mistaken for a real guitar. Ithas a one-piece contoured wooden body and is significantly heavier than any ofthe other controllers on the market. It even has metal turning tuning spokes onthe neck of the guitar. The guitar users rubber dome technology on the fretboard controls, the same material used in its Logitech’s keyboards. The guitarcontroller also incorporates a touch-sensitive slider, located on the neck ofthe guitar controller.
The Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller will be available ina pristine black finish complemented with a glossy black pick guard. It has arange of up to 10 metres from the console and can you extended of hours ofbattery life.
This device is awesome and would make a welcome addition toany Guitar Hero player’s collection of guitars. This device comes with a heftyprice tag of $399.95 and is only available for the PS 2 and 3 consoles. This isalmost as much as buying a real guitar and getting a few lessons, so you canreally play those notes rather than just simulation. To have this deviceavailable for the Xbox 360 as well would have been a nice touch as I am surethey would Love to rock out on this controller.
