TekTime started up in early 2004 after the opportunity arose to have a spot on 97.1FM 3MDR on Saturdays to talk about computers and general technology.

Not much support was received for an idea that was community based with no income, but believing that there was more to life than money, we ventured on a journey that in a short time has taken the business further than we ever expected it to. But, there is still a long way to go.

Our philosophy has always been to follow ones dreams and that it exactly what we at TekTime are living every day.

Technology has such a broad definition that it is hard to know where to start. Basically, it covers anything that has the ability to improve on itself and something that someone, or something, can use to make life better or easier. It can be something as tiny as an MP3 player to something like the machinery used to build cars! We live with technology around us everyday. There are those out there, which we like to call “anti-technologists” (luddites), people who believe life does not need improving by using technology. To each their own, but how can life improve or how can we improve life with it? It is the way of future, whether we like it or not. Don’t be left behind, even learning the smallest molecule of information can make a big difference. It could be the missing piece of the puzzle. Whether you are young or getting older, the opportunities to learn are out there. Take the challenge and learn something new! Just by reading this paragraph, you have taken the first step.

Each of the Usual Suspects has an extremely important role, each bringing their own skills and open mindedness to the show. Shane who is the World Wide Web and X-Box Master, Andruil and Gmoney whose gaming expertise is invaluable, Zombe who has such broad skill sets when it comes to computers it is always a challenge to find something he doesn't know, Ally who is an internet junkie and a whiz with software applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher etc .
